We were thrilled when Donna, the league president for a local women’s bowling team known as the “Delton Alley Chicks”, reached out letting us know that they had selected Image Reborn Foundation as a recipient of their “Gutterball fund”!
Donna learned about our organization from her friend Stefanie, who attended a Renewal Retreat in February of this year! Donna says that Stefanie “just beamed” when she told her about the retreat experience, which means so much to us.
Here’s a little more information from Donna:
“I put together the league in 2016 with a group of close friends and golfing acquaintances to provide support to the newly-opened bowling alley in our community, called Delton Lanes. Plus I thought it would be a great social outing for the winter months. We voted on a name – “Ally Chicks” and designed a logo. I had no idea the league would still be going strong after 6 years and grow to around 50 players.
A year or so in, we decided to put together a “gutter ball fund”. Each time a player throws a gutter ball they make a donation to the pot. At the end of the season, we tally the funds collected and my agency matches the amount collected (Rentmeister & Associates, Inc). My parent company (American Family) kindly offers a match program for agents and they match the donation I make on behalf of the league. We vote on a charity recipient each season and present the funds collected. I am proud to say we have given out over $20,000 in donations over these past few years. What an amazing group of ladies we have in our league!!!
I’m happy that Image Reborn was one of this year’s recipients and we were able to donate $3000 in support of your organization. The selection of organizations dedicated to supporting women impacted by breast cancer was very purposeful; we have two league members recently diagnosed with breast cancer and the owner of the bowling alley’s mom as well. It was an emotional evening for all of us, yet we all felt a great deal of gratitude in making these charitable contributions on behalf of our friends. Thank you again for being a part of this.”
We would like to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Delton Alley Chicks, Donna Rentmeister, Rentmeister & Associates, Inc., Stefanie Best, and American Family Insurance for their generous donations.
