Hamid Adib

hamid adib

Dr. Adib is an investor, educator, philanthropist, engineer and entrepreneur. Hamid’s diverse background ranges from leading scientific research and development, to managing and owning multiple corporations, to serving multiple philanthropic organizations. Perhaps at the center of all his endeavors is his beloved business – his family’s legacy – dealing unique hand-woven rugs, tapestries, textiles, rare artworks, and other antiquities. As an entrepreneur, his passions include art, interior design, film, poetry, painting, consulting, real estate, and architectural preservation.

Hamid studied mechanical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley and received his doctorate from the University of Utah. An active community participant, Hamid is a board member of the Image Reborn Foundation, Utah Film Center, Hope Clinic, and the Natural History Museum of Utah. He is also the HEAL Skin Disease Foundation Chairman of the Board, and an emeritus member of the Westminster College Board of Trustees. Dedicating much of his time to humanitarian service, both locally and internationally, Hamid's mantra is “service above self is a lifestyle and not an event.”
