Rallying to make a difference

Breast cancer should not be considered as the end of a woman’s life, but rather a reason to gather strength from oneself and from the people who care. The annual Rally for the Cure event organized by Park City Women’s Golf Associated has recently celebrated 20 years of supporting Susan G. Komen in her battle against breast cancer. The successful event has gathered not only cancer survivors, but also their families and friends and a number of golf club members.

Similar to this cause, Dr Saltz’s Image Reborn Foundation empowers women in its own way by offering no-cost healing retreats to women with breast cancer. The founder, who is a breast cancer survivor herself, gains knowledge from her experience as a renowned breast reconstructive surgeon to understand the condition and the women who have to go through such. Having this diagnosis is no easy journey, but with the right treatment — and the best support system — women will never have to worry about being alone on their personal battles with breast cancer.
