Birds of a Feather… Thrive Together!

The theme of the Image Reborn Foundation 16th Annual Celebration of Life on October 10th, was Birds of a Feather. This theme evolved from a watching a flock of survivors that come together at an Image Reborn retreat, and the camaraderie experienced at a retreat. Breast cancer can be a very lonely place, but through a circle of support, survivors are empowered to spread their wings and fly again!

In many cultures, the symbolic meaning of feathers deal with ascension and spiritual evolution to a higher plane.

Feathers were worn by Native American Chiefs to symbolize their communication with Spirit, and to express their celestial wisdom. Also in the Native American Indian culture, feathers represented the power of the thunder gods, along with the power of air and wind. Native American Pueblo Indians would pay homage to the Feathered Sun, a symbol of the cosmos and the center of existence.

As a Celtic symbol, the feather was worn by Druids in the form of ornate feathered robes. Celtic Druids donned these robes in ceremonies to invoke the sky gods and gain knowledge of the celestial realm.

Image Reborn no-cost retreats are designed to help women in various stages of cancer and treatment to soar. Thank you for your support of another fantastic celebration!
