Breast Cancer Conference : Intimacy and Body Image 2024

This unique gathering is designed to empower, educate, and connect individuals after a breast cancer diagnosis. Regardless of relationship status—single, married, or anywhere in between—all are welcome to participate. Partners are invited to join for afternoon breakout sessions, fostering understanding and support.

The conference will feature insightful discussions and workshops on topics such as sexual health after breast cancer, strategies for reconnecting with the body, effective communication skills, and valuable resources. Esteemed presenters include Dr. Jordan Rullo, PhD, Certified Sex Therapist; Jessica Holfeltz, LCMHC and Sex Therapist; Dr. Natasha Fett, PT, DPT, and more.

Tickets for in-person attendance are priced at $10, while virtual access is available for $5. Alumni Army members enjoy complimentary registration. The event is proudly sponsored by Huntsman Cancer Institute and Saltz Plastic Surgery and Spa Vitoria.

Research indicates that up to 82% of breast cancer patients undergoing active treatment have voiced their sexual concerns to healthcare providers. Despite its prevalence, many oncologists and support specialists struggle to provide adequate guidance and support in this area.  Image Reborn Foundation has consistently received feedback from participants echoing these findings. In response, in 2023, the organization boldly addressed this issue by launching its inaugural Sexual Health & Intimacy After Breast Cancer Conference. The event attracted 47 women in-person and an additional 84 participants online, totaling 131 attendees. Feedback from attendees highlighted the importance of addressing sexual health and intimacy concerns after breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

“Thank you for doing this great conference.  It was so helpful to just be open about topics like this that are often taboo.  Thank you for all the great info!  I loved it!”

“I needed this more than I thought. Thank you.”

“The information was so useful.  I did not know what to expect.  What I received was what I did not even know that I needed.  I’m grateful that the replay will be available because I definitely would like to revisit the content.  Great job!”

“I appreciated hearing about topics that are not commonly addressed and feeling like I was in a safe space for these conversations.”
