Dr. Camille Moreno, DO, MSCP, NCMP
Dr. Moreno joined University of Utah OBGYN as medical director of their Midlife Women’s Health and Menopause Medicine program. She earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology from Virginia Tech and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board-certified in family medicine and did her specialty women’s health training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She’s a North American Menopause Society menopause-certified practitioner.
Her focused training includes midlife care involving perimenopause, menopause, hormone therapy, bone health (osteoporosis management and treatment), sexual dysfunction, vulvar dermatoses, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and management of menopausal symptoms in high-risk breast cancer patients and breast cancer survivors.
She is an associate editor of the Utah Women’s Health Review, a peer reviewer for the American Family Physician, and a medical writer for GoodRx. This past year, she has been interviewed in the news and a few podcasts on several women’s health topics including new evidence on benefits of hormone therapy for perimenopausal and menopausal women; vilification of menopausal hormone therapy; and monthly periods are healthy and not a sign of toxicity.
Dr. Moreno was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. with her family at the age of 11. She is an avid runner and enjoys long-distance running. She is passionate about writing, listening to podcasts, cooking, reading, traveling and tending to her small vegetable garden.
