Flaming Gorge Canoe Adventure Retreat 6/27-6/30

June 27 - 30, 2024

Program is fully booked

This retreat is intended for alumni who have not attended an adventure retreat before. We ask that you do not attend if you have already come to a retreat in this calendar year.

After attending an Image Reborn renewal retreat, the adventure retreat is an opportunity for those looking to push their limits with the camaraderie and support of peers and leaders while immersed in nature! If you are looking to get out of your comfort zone, then this might be the right fit for you. If you have not yet attended an Image Reborn retreat, we strongly encourage you to register for a Renewal Retreat. The adventure retreat is intended for alumni of the Renewal Retreat program.

ARRIVAL NOTE: Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and must arrive in Park City by 7:00 am on Thursday, June 27th.  From there, the group will be transported by shuttle to Flaming Gorge. Lodging on the 26th may be available for those traveling from out of town (please contact us with questions). Guests will spend 4 days and 3 nights traveling and sleeping along the river (camping in double-occupancy tents  – no equipment needed). On Sunday, you can expect to return to Park City by 4:00 pm via shuttle.

This is a moderately physically challenging retreat that will include getting wet and being exposed to the elements. Please review the agenda carefully to ensure this retreat suits you, your risk tolerance, and your current physical health condition.

Your leaders include 2 empathetic and experienced facilitators, Savannah Lavenstein and Amanda Valenti, as well as guidance and support from experts of National Ability Center. Your crew will consist of 10 incredible alumni, all thriving and surviving after breast cancer. No experience is necessary, but the entirety of this retreat is conducted outdoors. If you have any concerns, questions, or hesitancies please contact us directly.

Here is the general “flow” of your retreat. To learn more about general details about the route you will be traveling, itinerary, and packing information, please visit National Ability Center’s website Click here
