Dr. Renato Saltz, Founder / President: Dr. Saltz moved to Utah in 1993. He served as an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah for 10 years before going into private practice in Salt Lake and Park City. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery and General Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is Past-President of the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery (ASAPS) and President-elect of the International Society of Aesthetic Surgery (ISAPS). Dr. Saltz has worked very closely with breast cancer survivors in their reconstructive process and helped spearhead cancer support groups in Utah. He has the medical knowledge and leadership capabilities to guide Image Reborn to achieve its goals.
Tracee Lolofie, Secretary, has been involved with Image Reborn since it began in 2000. She began as a committee member for the annual fundraiser and became a board member in 2001. Tracee has also served as a PTA President for her daughter’s elementary school and continues to volunteer for the PTSA at Bonneville Junior High, and Cottonwood High School. She has also volunteered for the Kalama Mohala Foundation and Dream Foundation. In 2004 Tracee received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Consociates Auxiliary/Assistance League of SLC.
Janelle Smith began her work with Image Reborn as a retreat volunteer. Her expertise in the arts and passion for creativity led her to develop an art journaling based workshop encouraging healing through creative expression which was incorporated into the Image Reborn retreat program. It was through her involvement at the retreats that she recognized the transformative power of connecting with others as a support during difficult times and the positive impact that Image Reborn’s mission has on the lives that it serves. This led her to become a board member where she could continue to devote her talents to supporting the growth of the foundation and maintaining the IRF mission. She currently serves on the UMOCA planning committee, is a dedicated mother to her 3 young children and works as a marketing consultant.
Christie Babalis brings extensive legal experience to the Image Reborn Board of Directors, serving since spring of 2013. She has served on the boards of several organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Recycle Utah (current Vice Chairman), Summit Water and the Center for Global Leadership (current Secretary). She is member of Park City Rotary and a Community Foundation of Utah E-5-0 Nominee, 2010. Christie is a mother of two young children, and recently established her own legal practice. For the past 17 years, Christie has served as a corporate and transactional in-house attorney.
Debbie Hoffmeyer, Treasurer: Debbie has been an active member of the Image Reborn board since January, 2009. Prior to her board position she served for the previous three years on one of our committees, helping us with our annual Gala. Debbie’s commitment to Image Reborn became even deeper after her diagnosis of Breast Cancer in November 2008. She is a Vice President for US Bank and oversees branches in three western states. In addition to her commitment to Image Reborn, Debbie is the President of the Kiwanis Club of Park City and also serves as a community member for the Offender Review Board, currently filling the position of Secretary. Debbie is the mother of three adult age children, and the Na-Na for four beautiful grandchildren.
Shawna Patten is a new addition to the board. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with a foundation that I truly believe to have a worthy and much needed objective,” said Shawna. She has a number of family members as well as friends that are breast cancer survivors and watched the toll that it took on their lives and self esteem. She has done charity work for a number of organizations in the past and currently sits on the board for Newborn Safe Haven, an organization tasked with saving unwanted newborns. Shawna has worked in Commercial Litigation for the law firm of Strong & Hanni for the past 16 years. She is married with 2 grown daughters.
Shawn Miele became CEO of Advice Media in 2008. A seasoned professional, Shawn likes to push the envelope at everything he does, from work to play. That ethos keeps Advice Media’s team and clients ahead of the competition and has led Advice Media to the forefront of the digital marketing industry.
Shawn is a frequent speaker at industry meetings sponsored by national bodies such as The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, The Aesthetic Academy, and the Multi-Specialty Foundation. While a young professional living and working in New Jersey, Shawn was named one of the state’s “40 Under 40” by New Jersey Business News.
Shawn has lived and worked in London, New York and Hong Kong. He earned his undergraduate degree at Middlebury College and his MBA at Columbia Business School.
In his free time, Shawn enjoys traveling with his three children to youth hockey and lacrosse events. He also partakes in Park City’s outdoor recreation offerings, especially trail running and mountain biking in the summer and downhill and skate skiing in the winter. An accomplished runner and triathlete, Shawn still competes occasionally and is a perennial top finisher in his age group.
Sara Carbajal-Salisbury is originally from Mexico City. She is married and is the mother of three children that she has raised multicultural and bilingual. In 2002 she joined a team of professionals to start a Non-Profit organization, Alliance Community Services, with the mission of “Improving the quality of life for the Hispanic community by making health & social services accessible to them”. She is the co-founder and Program Director for the Community Cancer Support Services and Alliance Breast Cancer Programs (ABC). She has received training specifically for breast and cervical cancer and has participated in many professional conferences dealing with health and cancer issues to better serve Hispanic/Latina survivors.
She also received Facilitator Training from the University of Utah, conducted focus groups in several health fields; participated in conferences with Redes en Accion (The National Hispanic/Latino Cancer Network), Avon Foundation for Women, and Utah Department of Health; received a fellowship award from the National Latino Council on Alcohol and Tobacco Prevention and recognition from the Utah Department of Health Utah Cancer Control Program (UCCP) for her work with “Triunfadoras,” a Hispanic Breast Cancer Survivors Support Group. Currently, she serves in the Executive Committee of the Utah Cancer Action Network (UCAN); the Community Advisory Council of the Intermountain Medical Center, and the Utah State Medical Care Advisory Committee. As if she weren’t busy enough, Sara also volunteers for different Hispanic organizations such as Utah Coalition of La Raza and Club de Mujeres Latinas.
Shelley Jarvis was born in Cape Cod, Mass and grew up in Montana. She is the mother of 2 adult children. She has lived in Utah now for the past 19 years where she currently works in the Mortgage Industry as a Sales Manager at Citywide Home Loans. Networking and marketing are a big part of her daily life and she loves it!
2015 was her first experience with IRF as a member of the decorating committee for the Annual Gala. This is a cause that is very near and dear to her as she is also a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in May 2015, had surgery and completed radiation that September. She considers herself very lucky and feels blessed to be a part of an organization that is helping so many women feel not so alone and hopeless.
Jeri Openshaw worked for KUTV News / NBC for 16 years as a weekend news manager and weekend news producer and assignment editor. She most notably developed and produced award winning “Baby Your Baby” multimedia campaign and documentaries, produced nationally recognized “Wednesday’s Child” news segments, produced teen suicide special program and drug and alcohol documentaries, producer of four live three-hour “Wednesday’s Child” docuthons.
Jeri then moved to KSL TV/ CBS as a producer of public affairs where she worked on many community-based multi-media projects for 8 years, such as the KSL “Family Now” multimedia project, “Our Town” a community calendar interview segment, Public Service Announcements, Quarters for Christmas, Teacher Feature, and Primary Children’s Medical Center Radiothon.
Jeri has received eight EMMY Awards, a National IRIS Award, a National Unity Award for “Faces of Abuse” documentary. National American Women in Radio and Television Award for Women and Heart Disease “Her Healthy Heart” PSA Campaign, The National Silver Gavel Award for the documentary “It’s Called Rape” a special award from the Utah State Division of Aging for work with abused seniors and many local Gold and Silver Utah Broadcaster Awards.
In addition to her work for Image Reborn, Jeri is also actively involved with public relations and volunteer matters at the Department of Heritage and Arts/ State Library Division/Library for the Blind and Disabled.

Faye Keller, Public Affairs Specialist and Retreat Facilitator: Faye’s passion to make a difference in the lives of cancer survivors stems from her work with the American Cancer Society where she served as the Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs. Working directly with cancer survivors and advocating for the betterment of their lives was the most satisfying and rewarding part of this position for her.
Faye was raised in southern California and attended college and graduate school in New England. Early on, her professional career was focused in the legal field, first as a law librarian at Duke University Law School and then at the law firm of Parsons Behle and Latimer. Following that Faye spent nearly 15 years in public relations and communication.
Community and volunteer work has and continues to play an important part in Faye’s life. She has served on a variety of local boards, some of which include: The Museum of Natural History, The Work Activity Center for Handicapped Adults, The English Skills Learning Center and The Road Home. Faye is also involved with the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy, a nationwide organization that brings emerging leaders from over 130 countries to Salt Lake each year and matches them with their professional counterparts.
Ally Morrison, Director of Strategic Planning and Retreat Coordinator: Ally first volunteered with Image Reborn Foundation at the 2015 Annual Gala where she couldn’t help but fall in love with the mission and immediately she wanted to be a part of it. Ally joined IRF in February 2016 as a retreat coordinator and has increasingly become more involved. As of June 2016, Ally is now working full time with the board to help grow IRF’s mission. In her free time, Ally enjoys spending time with her two daughters, hiking, and volunteering.
